Life as an academic can be challenging, especially in the battle against electronic devices for the attention of our student audience. Sites like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and others all work together to join students with their peers, regardless of location or physical proximity. These sites tend to become distractions within the classroom setting, establishing competition between themselves and the instructor.

txt3ooks examines the potential of this outlet, though, as a teaching vessel. But using the visual vernacular of academia, likening students to Barbies and education to apple pie, this series investigates just what it could mean to look beyond stereotypes at just how students might really learn using channels they already love.
