what: presentation design
for: The Design School, Arizona State University

Under the dynamic leadership of Jason Schupbach, The Design School launched an ambitious program in the Fall of 2017 to investigate the state of design education and the needs of the design industries, looking at how the academic end might adapt to become more nimble and responsive. For eighteen months, faculty, staff, students, and leadership met, talked, brainstormed, and came up with new ideas and a vision for The School.

In January 2020, director Schubach delivered that vision to the Arizona State University provost. Using bold type and minimal graphic elements, ASU brand colors, and visual systems pulled from earlier branding applications, the visual system used to deliver that vision sought to capture the energy, confidence, and enthusiasm that had developed from the work done by The School over the previous years.
