As an educator, my philosophy is to let the students run wild. By the time I get them—usually in their junior or senior years—they already have a strong visual vocabulary in their toolbox. They just don’t know how to use it in a way that isn’t guided by the instructor. This is where I come in. I let loose the reins and let them see what they can do. Scaffolding and support, I give them. By midterm, they hate me. By finals, they’re gleeful that the system worked and are willing to admit that maybe, just maybe, I know what I’m doing.
The following are amazing projects completed by students I have taught on- and off-line.
