In my current position as co-director of InnovationSpace at Arizona State University’s Design School, I spend the bulk of my days working with students and professional and academic colleagues, reimaging what education can do as an agent of change. As I do this, I tend to find cool designs worth sharing. Sometimes, a lot of thoughts fly through my head. This is where these thoughts and ideas finally land. All opinions are mine and mine alone.
If variety can be the spice of life, could it maybe be the spice of design education?
Design education is design education is design education. But is onsite design education better than online? Online better than onsite? Or could we pull strengths from each to make something new?
